What do you see?

Yesterday the kids and I made a memory in a parking lot.

We spent the whole day at Busch Gardens Europe -- I rode a roller coaster with Niko, enjoyed the sky ride with Gregory and petted the Clydesdale horses with Lena. And yet the real memory from the day came when we were walking back to the car.

The sky was blue. The clouds were puffy. And we were all holding hands, when I asked the kids what they saw in the clouds.

Lena saw a horse (of course). Niko saw a man with an ax (of course). I saw a Snoopy-like dog on his back with his four feet in the air (when I finally took this picture, it was starting to break apart. But can you see the dog's nose pointed up to the sky on the left?).

It was one of those special moments.

It's the second time I remember making a memory with the kids in the parking lot of an amazing place. In September of 2006 Niko, Lena and I were walking across the parking lot to catch the bus to one of the parks in Disney World. Lena was holding my right hand, Niko my left. The three of us were talking, I can't remember about what, but in that moment I felt so happy, so content, so close to both of them. And I remember suddenly realizing that sometimes getting there really is half the fun. It was then that I decided to look for ways to enjoy more of those "getting there" moments -- riding bikes to school, walking to the local park, even running errands in the car.

So what do you see???
