Coming soon: Auction for Russian Orphans!

I am really excited. At ArkAngels for Russian Orphans we are organizing Auction for Russian Orphans. The auction will be our largest annual fundraiser, and we are currently accepting donations. So far we are offering caviar, amber jewelry, a Russian Barbie and other items.

But we need more!

We are looking for donations of items to auction. Some suggestions…

• Going to Russia? Please consider buying something there to donate to the auction. A matroyshka. Russian Orthodox icon. Amber necklace. Fur hat. Prices on Russian items are much cheaper when purchased in Russia.
• Are you crafty? An artist? Donate something – anything – you’ve made. A quilt. A photograph. A woodcraft. A doll. A painting. A bracelet. Whatever.
• Have a vacation house? Donate a week or weekend – either you pick the dates or let the buyer choose.
• Own a business that could donate a produce or service? Know someone who does? Businesses will be recognized on the auction web site with their logo and a link to their web site.
• Is it OK to regift? In this case, yes. Have a new item still in its box taking up space in your closet? We’ll take if off of your hands and turn it into kash for the kids.
• What about antiques? We’d love a few good-quality antique items to offer!
• Know someone famous? Would they be willing to donate an item or autograph?
• Want to donate but don’t have an item? Donate cash and we’ll combine it with other cash donations to buy items at a discount. Or buy something yourself and donate it.

If you want to donate, please go to the auction site and click on the "donate items" button.

You can also sign up to sponsor the auction.

ArkAngels for Russian Orphans is a 501c3, non-profit organization (tax ID #870635), so all donations are fully tax deductible. Our mission is to improve the living conditions and educational opportunities for Russian orphans who aren't adopted. If we raise $100 we can buy new beds for two orphans. If we raise $10,000 we can replace open pit latrines in an orphanage with modern bathrooms.
